The African Roots of Southern Cuisine

Don't forget that our latest exhibition, "African Roots of Southern Cooking," created by the Blanchard House Museum, is now open to the public, from January to March 26.

We will look at the wide range of African American cooking in this exhibit, from foods prepared by enslaved Africans in British America and the antebellum South to those prepared in urban centers during the Great Migration. The foods presented in this exhibit have made the long journey from Africa to the Americas.
