Sulphur Springs Community Digital Archive
The Museum's Community Centered Archive Project is an exciting new initiative that seeks to capture the stories of Sulphur Springs for a new digital archive.

Do you remember diving into the spring-fed pool? Browsing shops in the Arcade? Watching movies at the neighborhood theater? Or maybe whispering ghost stories about the Tower late into the night?

Do you remember the days of segregation, and what life was life in Sulphur Springs' African American neighborhood, Spring Hill?

Here’s your chance to turn those cherished memories into a lasting legacy. You can participate in two ways:

-
Join us for our first Community Collaboration Day on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. here at the Museum. Bring your photos, memorabilia, and memories — we’ll scan, record, and preserve them for future generations. Museum staff will be conducting informal interviews, digitizing personal items, and gathering stories that tell of the everyday moments, people, places and events that shaped this vibrant community. Whether you grew up in Sulphur Springs or just remember visiting for a swim or a Saturday matinee, your story matters.
-
If you can't make it on May 4, we still need to hear from you. Email Kelley at kelley@sulphurspringsmuseum.org to schedule a personal interview or to scan your memorabilia.

Don’t miss this chance to be part of history in the making — help us preserve the heart and history of Sulphur Springs.
